This rather beautiful chap was at the bottom of my sister's garden, which backs on to woodland. I think it is a cock pheasant

I think I would die of shock if one of those arrived in my garden! What a gorgeous looking bird. He looks so exotic that he shouldn't be in this country somehow. Lovely photo Judi.

A handsome chap. They are not so lovely, when they drown out the dawn chorus though, as ours does when he wants his breakfast and I am still in bed.
