Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em

It's that time of year when the Corvid juveniles are starting to appear in numbers and there were no less than 7 Jackdaw babies in the garden today.   One little Jackdaw was giving its Mum a hard time constantly shouting for food and attention which continued all day long     lol

These pics were taken through the window from a long way but thought they were so funny that you would like to see them anyway.

a cropped version to show the "demanding" Jackdaw    lol

then he went off to pester the Mallards   lol

Based on the posture in the cropped photo, I think you should name this Jackdaw 'Rigsby' lol

LOL,  thanks Aiki and Christine,  there is so much noise early in he morning the Corvid babies wake me up each time at around 6am ....but I don't mind :)   its wonderful to see and hear them all in full spirits and it makes me get out of bed to go sort out the feeders and the live mealworms !   This particular mini Jackdaw was really hanging on to its Mother's proverbial "coat tails" and wouldn't give her a minutes peace all day.    I helped her out by putting some extra premium mixed seeds, luxury pastry and a lot of pasta with cat food so they certainly didn't starve today  lol

@ Aiki,  maybe this one can audition for "Gnipper, son of Gnasher"   lol

ROFL @ MC  !!    that was such a funny program .....

    one of the funny quotes:

(Rigsby complaining to Alan (Richard Beckinsale) about his scruffy appearance)............

"You've been here six months and the name is still on your soap."
