Something has been chewing the veg in the greenhouse. It is definitely not snail or slug damage - any ideas? The leaves are pak choi, dwarf bean, grape vine and sweet pepper. This pest does not like lettuce!

A gardener friend has lent me a book that I refer to as the plant hypercondriac's bible - the RHS Pests and Diseases - looking at the pictures of leaf problems it looks like slug damage. Probably those little black jobs that hide in the soil or Earwigs - they munch holes as well.

Yes, Germain, it does look like slug damage, but not seen any slugs. Whatever it is, it seems to have moved on. Thank goodness.

My money is on slug damage as its a bit early for caterpillars
You can get a organic approved by the soil association slug pellet
I use them and they are safe for wildlife
