I washed off & repainted the garden chairs...
I bought a sunvisor, pair of sunglasses & a pair of shorts...
I defrosted the freezer & filled it with ice-cream...
I had an outside tap fitted for watering purposes...
I invested in a small barbeque...
I got a bigger second birdbath...
I purchased a few drought tolerant plants...
I put water retaining jobbies in all the pots & baskets...
I resurrected both water butts onto their plinths...
and it worked....
It has rained solidly for the last 2 hours + thunder & lightning to boot. Big fat wet splodges of lovely water.
Cor! The difference a few miles makes - some drizzle yesterday, no rain today until around tea time maybe a little later and now torrential rain and the most terrific thunder and lightning - it's really pelting on the roof as I write - Bella's only in South Devon and I'm in mid. Amazing - so glad to see some rain though, no functioning rain butt as yet and have been using a hose:-(
Thankyou SB and Bramble ,he will be eighteen next month, but no matter what age we always want our children to be okay.Rather him than me though!!! :0)
