Camassia for naturalising in damp areas

Hello All,

As my garden is on heavy and often wet clay finding bulbs that don't rot off through the winter has been quite a challenge. In the autumn I came across some packets of Camassia bulbs in our local gardening centre, I hadn't heard of them before but they looked lovely in the picture on the front of the packet. On reading the back it suggested that they thrived in damp "meadow" type situation so as they were buy one get one free I scooped up half a dozen packets......

I planted them with the thought at the back of my mind that they wouldn't appear come spring as they would have rotted off like most bulbs planted here, but.....

.......here it is and I'm pleased to say that I've had 100% success rate.....wish I'd bought more now!!!!

Any one else on similar wet/heavy ground and had success with any particular bulbs?
