Phew, spent a busy morning sorting out the border - weeding, planting and putting down bark chips to hopefully retain some moisture because the ground was as dry as a bone! Have two of my dwarf buddleias and five of my six honeysuckles planted out - the remaining buddleia and honeysuckle are in need of some TLC so they are remaining in their posts for now. Also bought two trees from morrisons yesterday - only £2 each. One is a silver birch (yay!) and the other is a willow with red stems.
The blackbird soon appeared though, but he missed out on getting a HUGE earthworm that slithered out of the ground! I looked round for him and he wasn't there so thye worm went free!

You are joining the worm lovers club Kat.Just try a little harder and let those worms do lots of work in your garden keeping it drained and taking compost down into the soil.Lots of brownie points will come your way and the nightmares of worms eating you alive will stop.

Haha the blackbird did miss out on a HUGE worm, and I mean HUGE! It was like a mini version of tremors in the garden lol
We must have pretty good soil as there was loads of worms, Mr Blackbird was having a field day investigating everywhere I'd been in the garden and left with a beak full of worms after just a few minutes!
