Hi just thought I show you my beautiful clematis, is started as a twig and it went from strength to strength I have more clematis that grows under the dinning room window and that's were the blackbirds nest was last year no such luck this year but never mind
If only I could be free as the birds the places I could visit would be out of this world
We were at a walled garden not long ago and they said there are 200 species of clematis, nearly as bad as birds.

Really lovely, polly. I have one in flower too, but not as good as yours. I'm looking forward to my "Nelly Moser" flowering, it's got lots of buds, will be a picture when it does.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.
Thats beautiful Polly my favourite colour pink. What is the name of the clematis please. I have four in my garden but only one is ready to flower the others are just starting off. Will be nice next year.

Hi Sue I'm sorry I cant remember what its called we had it as literally a twig from my hubby's aunts garden (we kinda pinched a bit so didn't like to ask her what it was called) she was so proud of it.
This one's is at least 8 - 10 years old, do keep the bottom in shade this is what I was told I should do and its worked for me

Hi Polly
Great Clematis photo. It's a lovely flowering plant even if it does go a bit mad.
That's the normal Clematis montana, not a hybrid. It's a very strong grower, and needs to be kept in check by hard pruning after flowering
Best wishes Chris
