  • Coooooool thanks for the ID Robyn!  There are a lot of plants with leaves exactly like the ones this plant has so hopefully they'll be some more as they are very pretty!

  • They are a truly beautiful plant and  I enjoy growing them myself and yours are a delight to see as mine are just in the leaf stage at the moment so will enjoy yours until mine get a move on lol..

They should spread quiet easily and you can split them up after flowering while they are in the green{leaf stage}and you can dot them around the garden and when they have settled down will flower again the next spring. We have Pagoda which is a creamy white colour......

  • Oh what a great selection of plants you are finding in your garden!! Wish that mine would turn up some of these beauties, not dock buttercups + nettels every where. Have a corner where the nettles are allowed to thrive!!

Will it benefit them splitting them?  As you can see in the other thread, the others are really crammed together though the ones with the blotched leaves are more spread out?

Osprey - want me to send you some in the post? lol

  • Hi Kat

It's a lovely flowering plant, and it's no problem to split it as Robyn says.

Osprey, someone on eBay is currently selling E. revolutum, but I don't think it's the same variety as Kats.

    Best wishes Chris

I'll certainly split the larger clump, don't know where I'll put it all though lol

  • Here is a link that might help you learn some more about this species and how to propagate them...

  • Thank you very much Robyn!  Since the bulbs in the clump are pretty deep I think I'm best leaving them but I'll collect some of the seeds to spread around the garden, though I suspect they will be more than happy to do that themselves lol  I have no idea where they all could have came from though, there is so many of them in the garden and I've never seen them before!
