I've planted some peas, broad beans, a few Jersey Royals (oops, sorry International Kidney) spuds under a cloche to get a nice early taster (yum, yum) and some rocket today in the hideous but useful raised bed. Some of my wild flower seeds are beginning to put their first leaves out (I love those first little green leaves SOOOO exciting). Gladioli went in that were sent to me by mistake by supplier and that they told me to keep, not really a gladioli kind of a gardener, but hey they were free and it being a practically from scratch garden, I have space to fill. I also planted a rosemary to replace the two potted ones that gave up the ghost in the winter. Some field poppy seed had spilled in the container I keep my seed packets in, so they got scattered about. From no beds at all, we now have eleven of various shapes and sizes. We've also sourced some tree stumps and old logs (no good for fires) to make a stumpery (thanks for the suggestion Higgy) and a log pile. I've got some nice lumps of bark too, that'll find their way into the wildlife stack eventually. What I need now is a small bit of corrugated iron to put down in a sunny but out of the way spot to attract slow worms and grass snakes (hopefully) - I know this is a good slow worm area.

No problem, glad to be of assistance!!
Sounds lovely, I think some photographs would be in order after all that hard graft so that we all can enjoy it??
