Managed to get in the garden yesterday and today instead of working like a dog lol.
This is a Chionodoxa luciliae every year without fail up she pops and dazzles
Good old "Lungwort" Pulmonaria this one has total silver leaves later on. There are several dotted around the garden loved by the bees
We have quite a few Helleborus orientalis in the garden the only down side is they always hang their heads in shame so you have to get down on your knees to see their beauty
And we now have daffs out in the garden Narcissus "Jumblie" in the background is Arum italicum "Pictum" a leftover from mums flower arranger days and a blush pink Helleborus.

A very old Shropshire Lad.
Nice pics Chris, so good to get back out at this time of year.
An optimist sees the beauty of the complete rose.A pessimist sees only the thorn .
Love the pics Chris and you have some of my favourites there, pulminaria for one, I just love 'em and there are so many different ones. Also, they're among the rarish plants that knock out a true blue flower and as you say bees love them, they do well in shade so all in all a really good 'doer'. The downside of helleborus is that they will hang their heads as you say, but the upside, or one of them, is that they're a promiscuous bunch so they can produce some really lovely crosses can't they? And Jumblie is one of my favourite small narcissii, it's those reflexed outer petals I love and their neat little trumpets, they don't collapse or get blown over in the wind either, always a plus:-)) Thanks for sharing the pics, great.
HAPPY DAYS!!!!.....
Also have a "Dogs Tooth Violet" that has flowered for the first time in 5 years trouble is the flowers are facing away from me but will get some pix of the leaves as they are wonderful. Noticed a few of my "Wood Anemonies" shooting up :-)

What I thought were anemones from the kitchen window were infact more hellborus (they are everywhere lol) but I do have some coming up the leaves are just unfolding. In fact the pic below to the left is a clump of a little wood anemone "Hilda" This is my reluctant Erythronium as you can see the flowers are going over, now I struggled to straddle the flower bed with a smaller lens and next doors dogs barking their heads off :-( A close-up of the lovely leaves which are a coppery colour when they first emerge Chris S. And a few shots of a plant that I think of when Spring is mentioned :-)
The humble celandine
Wow Chris, what amazing flowers. I didn't realise you could get orange Celandine. Can these be found in the wild?
I know this isn't a wild flower, but I think a stunner just the same that is in full flower now.
It's a Clivia (or I hope it is)
There are 9000 species of bird on earth. Let's keep it that way.
These were bought as named cultivars but I dare say a few orange ones would be out there somewhere in the wilds of Britain :-)
Thats one healthy Clivia and a gorgeous colour indoor plants dont last with me as I tend to fuss over them far to much lol.
