My kale is finally starting to grow, one of my apple trees is well in bud with the three smaller ones following behind, my rowan and whitebeam are starting to leaf and the old rose that was once buried beneath spirea is starting to make a comeback! It's brilliant seeing everything appearing in the garden, spring is on the way yay!

Hi Kat
Yes it's a great time of the year in the garden:-) Spring is definitely here. :-))
My large established Maple tree that I bought on eBay for £25 is budding up everywhere, and the gardener says it looks great.
My Magnolia has huge buds on it that will flower very soon.
Some of my daffodils are out, and my flowering cherries all have new buds on. :-)
Best wishes Chris

Hi Chris - I planted my new magnolia in a container this afternoon, it's joined by other container trees but it is a lot smaller than they are lol
I have daffodils that are just starting to get the first hints of flowers and I think tulips coming up but I'm not sure if that is what they are lol
Beetroot is starting to grow now! So too are two of my milkweed plants (I think). Unfortunately some strange plant that was in the garden looks as if it is starting to return, thought I'd got it all but obviously not! No idea what it was but it is coming back in part of the garden where I planted more of my butterfly-friendly milkweed! Will have to set off another tub of Kale. Hopefully the carrots will start to come up soon too!
It's great that the garden is coming to life. We have a south facing garden so the last week or so its got plenty of sun.
The 2 apple trees are starting to flower, the hawthorn and rowan are in bud about to spring into life. The shrubs are also going well though the Mexican Orange blossom seems to look very depressed! and the male skimmia has had a very hard time this winter but I'm hoping he can make a lazerus style comeback.
As this is my first real year of gardening I can't wait to see all the planting in full flower.

Same here, haven't done much with the garden before so I'm looking forward to seeing what it looks like in the summer!
It's been SO nice to finally have some sun and get things done in the garden and to stand outside basking in the sun! The hawthorn hedge is beginning to get some green and the little cherry is in flower. My fuchsias look like they've been killed by the frost, so I'll have to cut them all back AGAIN this year (bah!). The rose bed has lots of primroses and daffs in and looks so colourful. I LOVE spring :D
A closed mouth gathers no foot.
Whooopppeeee from me too.I love spring and even though we have downsized and it is easy peasy i still love pottering and sitting out :0) So many ladybirds around so hope it is going to be a good summer :0)
An optimist sees the beauty of the complete rose.A pessimist sees only the thorn .
It is so nice to go into the garden and potter about, whether to do the weeding, or mowing the first cut which my husband done the other day. I am off into the garden now.
Like Sheena said I also hope we have a good summer as we had a cold winter.
Regards

I so agree, spring is a fantastic time and I love being outside. Everything here is waking up and the blossom is pretty at the moment. The daffs are out, it is all looking very cheerful.
