I have three Fuchsias (was two but one became two lol). They were cuttings from my parents Fuchsias and I'm wondering when they will be able to go outside in their pots? I don't have a clue what type they are, but I assume hardy as my parents were established shrubs and they have survived the winter outside lol

I've got loads of hardy fushias and I love them as they hold their flowers till really late in the year.
If you can, keep them somewhere frost free would be the best bet, then when you see new shoots at the base, you can cut back the old stems and by then it will probably be okay to have them out fully. If the pots are big enough, you will probably then be able to leave them out all year, just maybe watch for the whole pot freezing in bad weather which won't please the roots if they get iced in!
Hope that helps,
DM
Always happy to stop and stare...
Thanks for the tips DM :-) They are house plants at the moment and are doing rather well lol
HI kAt Tai
would leave them till late march or april depending on weather, trouble is if they are house plants they will take some acclimatising. worth putting in a grenhouse for a week or so first'.
I never put flowers out till May.

Easter Sunday is a good day for plants to come from under glass.
But who knows these days it might be snowing :-)
