The Loddon Lily aka summer snowflake, (Leucojum aestivum ) is a specialty of my local patch. The River Loddon which flows through my patch seems to provide suitable habitat for this attractive bulb.which thrives in damp habitats and alongside rivers. To my shame I've never noticed it before until a fellow birder pointed it out. It really is an attractive flower and I believe protected.plant.

Nice. edit. I`m gonna spend the rest of the night wondering what it is (in last photo) that`s in flight btw.
I suspect a hover fly but it might be a plane inbound for Heathrow.
Just been watching the news.They`re at it again! I`d send the picture to the MOD for further analysis if I were you. ;-)
