Wanted ........ your support for our local groups in their communities ......

The top story on the staff RSPB intranet is encouraging people to get voting for various RSPB projects that have put themselves forward for £6,000 from Natwest Communityforce.

Two of these projects are from our local groups and I thought it would be a good idea to let you know, so you can vote. Both of these projects engage the local community with nature, and you can find out more about those vying for your votes below.

About the projects:
Click on the links for more information about each project and to vote:

  • Woodbridge Local Group
To publish and print a new booklet that describes six Suffolk RSPB Coastal reserves, which encourages visitors to the area and uses the revenue to manage the reserves for the benefit of people and wildlife.

or

  • Bath and District Local Group
Not owning their own equipment for showing digital images at talks, the first priority is to buy a digital projector and laptop. Any spare cash could go towards conservation work at Somerset RSPB nature reserves.

There is also a number of other RSPB projects so there are other options for your voting.

How to vote:
All you need to do is to register separately (which is free) at http://communityforce.natwest.com/ for the English projects and http://communityforce.rbs.co.uk/ for those in Scotland. Then you can pick your three favourite projects in each country and vote for them. Voting closes at midnight on October 23.

What to do next:
I would love it if you could help us get the word out, please can you let you friends, family and contact know by word of mouth, facebook, twitter and email.

No matter what you think you are, you are always and in all ways so much more!
