Volunteers and staff describe the delights of working as a Nature Recorder for IFLI

Vol Quote 1, Steve & Linda : ‘As IFLI Nature Recording volunteers, we get a buzz from visiting our 'patch', from increasing our knowledge in identifying and recording flora and fauna, from the feeling that we're doing something useful and from witnessing the changes to the landscape through the seasons.’

Vol Quote 2, Hugh : ‘Volunteering as an IFLI Forth Nature Counts Recorder has given me the chance to discover so much about the fascinating natural world all around us; whilst also enabling me to do something useful by becoming part of the system for monitoring the natural ecosystems on which we all ultimately depend.’

Staff Quote, Kate Fuller, IFLI Community Engagement Officer.: ‘There’s a wealth of wildlife throughout the Inner Forth waiting to be discovered and our Nature Recorder volunteers have played a fantastic role in generating new species records to help the Inner Forth Landscape Initiative build a better picture of wildlife in the landscape.’
