Potential European CAP reform

Today the RSPB is drawing attention to worrying news that the EU budget may reduce the element of CAP that applies to wildlife friendly farming

Consider signing up to the email letter to the President in an attempt to avoid this;  I have just done so and it is easy.

This is worrying as the element of CAP that is likely to remain has no link to wildlife whatsoever.

  • Hi Jenni

This is a great idea! It’ll certainly help keep the campaign in the public eye. We’ll have another CAP reform e-action for you all in August (this time focussing on Cameron and Osborne).

There’s no harm in sending off a letter now but tying it into the August lobbying we’ve got planned might prove even more impactful. MPs will be back in their constituencies for summer recess - assuming their not making use of someone’s villa in the sunshine - and therefore glued to their local media.

Like I say, don’t let me put you off doing something now but I may very well remind you to have another stab at it next month.

Well done Jenni. If anyone else has thoughts on how we can really make a difference don't be shy in sharing them.

    Thanks all,

    Emily
