Hi everyone
I guess you are all aware received an email about the results of the big garden bird watch today!
The house sparrow tops the list again! Starlings are falling in numbers compared to last year!
I'm surprised as a newbie birdwatcher that I cant see anyone posting about the results!
I would have thought it was all the posts discussions etc?
Maybe not a tea room discussion?

I received the results yesterday via the regular RSPB e-news letter showing photographs of the top ten birds and a link to the full results.

Cracking! they seem to all be coming through to members now ClairM
We just have to read and digest the figures now?
Hi again Micolo got the results too :-) Seems to be a mix of up and downs this year
Hi Lilwren,
As its my first year doing it I'm probably more excited than most digesting the figures! And as I said to Alan I'm hoping to tick all 25 off before next years BGBW
Hi Alan I had a look at the link and it sounds like my cup of tea!
I will let you know how I get on with it in due course!
Hi Micolo,
Ive just got my results through too and Ive just been looking at the figures. I suppose everyone has the same top 10 and top 25? I wonder how they decide the figures because Im wondering that different areas will be more sightings than others. Ive been looking at the counties result and the one nearest to me is Greater Manchester and yet the results on there slighty differ from the main top ten.
So do we all have the same top ten? And obviously it differs from region to region, that must make sense though?
Cheers, Jason
Hello all, havent posted much here before, but enjoying looking around at different places. Intersting about Jays as we had them for the first time in our garden this year! They are around though not in the garden till now. We also have 2 large oak trees in the garden and the acorns were very deformed and looked like Brains, although they were plentiful! Ialso saw 1 Siskin in the garden for the first time. We live in a rural area in East Kent.
