I did mine this morning and was quite pleased that most of my regulars turned up for thier morning feast.. I have had a rare visit this past few days. when i say rare I mean for time of year, but there is a blackcap calling to my garden this past few days... has anyone else spotted some unusual birds
I have done my count and apart from my usual visitors my mistle thrush popped his head into the garden!
Apparently when I submitted the usual's I had to go to another page to submit my "rare" thrush!
Happy watching Micolo

nice.. well no woodpeckers where i live, but when i take my sunday cycle along the towpath, theres some fantastic birds to see (reed buntings being quite numerous there) also last sunday was treated to a kingfisher, but you need to be quick to see them, always a pleasure to see tho

Hi, I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland and I just joined this site today :-)
hi skillingsbolle.. you are about 25 bmiles from me . Im in banbridge
Yep. I did mine this morning though aborted before the hour was up due to a merlin and then just as the birds were coming back a buzzard being mobbed by rooks. There was no way the birds were coming back out from hiding with those overhead!
Recorded my count and got the helpful reminder to check numbers because one was unusually large.... 43 pheasants taking refuge!
A bird in the hand can make an awful mess!
buzzards are in abundance near me, but thankfully they didnt disrupt my count lol
