Next Tuesday (that’s the Tuesday coming for those of you who are prone to forgetfulness) sees the annual ritual of Valentine’s Day. The exchanging of cards and gifts, the grand (and small) gestures, the general outpouring of love and affection.

But this year we want you to think about a new ritual and it’s one you can use all year round, from Valentine’s Day to Mother’s Day, Christmas to birthdays.

It’s the ritual of thinking about where the things you buy come from. It’s making sure that in a gesture to let the people around you know that you care, that you don’t forget to care about rainforests.

We’ve got two easy tips for you this Valentine’s Day to step up and keep your rainforest conscience clean:

  1. When you’re picking your card  add something else to your check list. Cute picture on the front – check. Sweet/funny message inside – check. FSC logo on the back – check!
  2. If you’re indulging your and your partner’s sweet tooth, why not buy some of our Love Nature chocolate. It’s palm oil free, organic and fairtrade, so whilst it might be naughty for you, it’s nice for rainforests.

So don’t just love each other this Valentine’s Day – love rainforests too.
