Another lovely day on the East Anglian coast!

I seem to have been quite busy with my camera lately!  Today it was my local patch of Felixstowe which I explored.  It's rather inevitable what the first bird will be:

Yup, a herring gull.  It's their fault for being too photogenic.

The black-headed gull tries to put on a tough expression but falls some way short of its neighbour.

I rarely see these close enough to get any photos at all - a dunlin.

One of the gulls pauses its preening to look curiously at the new arrival.

I see redshanks here fairly regularly.  This one came closer than most!

I'm making the most of the dunlin while I can!

The Ferry clearly has a proud tradition of eccentric ornamentation.

The Harbourmaster's shed has clearly stood for a long time.  I love the general Pisa effect.

Another herring gull enjoys some me time as the tide comes in.

Our fields just wouldn't be complete without rooks adorning the power lines.

Our local robins are really showing well at the moment.

One of our neighbour's sparrows

Finishing as I started - yet another herring gull.  Oh, well - it would just be too quiet without them!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
