[HAD TO GET HERE BEFORE SCYLLA - TEEHEE] It was a hot day for panting Odin and EJ, but Odin managed a good sized headless trout for their breakfast. Great pics of EJ on the nest, with beak wide open calling, and while talking to her eggs (can they hear anything now?). Crows are still a problem - they seem to be watching the nest for fish, I think, though EJ is rightly protective of her eggs. Here's a variation on a theme. :)© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild

Despite your mischievousness, Good Morning and Thank You, CC :-*
EJ just jolted me alert with her exercises - she even had a flyaround.
(It doesn't look good, I am typing in anagrams!)

There's been the odd movement but she's now back where she was, almost exactly!
Birdies have begun trilling and sky is lightening. A sleepy EJ opens her eyes for moment, drifts off again, and then awakens again only to fall asleep to the rhythmic calls.© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild

Interesting. EJ just uttered a two or three chirps, almost as if she was going to call for fish, but then suddenly had second thoughts. She is now drowsing again. Chaffinch is utterly and relentlessly cheerful. Minutes later I got this brief sample.© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild
Hiya CC, I've been doing some 'housework' in overcrowded picture folders, it's so engrossing! In a bad way !!!
I was about to post a similar snap to you last one :)
HAH. Good morning scylla! You've no doubt created an art piece to consolidate your piccies. I was hoping you'd be in briefly before I hit the sack.
Soon back to day cam. Look at the color change!© RSPB - Loch Garten and Carnyx Wild
