Osprey at Hilton Head right now
All he does is mantle and collect moss. He's gone again!
Birdies LG DU update.
Well they say he had a partner last year Mike, don't think this is her though, lets hope he can bring this one a fish and they get on with what needs to be getting on with :-)
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Did you see that mating attempt Mike, he was all over the place, and no where near the right place!
I find it hard to believe that this guy has ever bred before! He just looks too young and almost frightened? I've seen chicks being ringed looking more positive!
Well one thing for sure, he is ace at gathering moss, he has just brought in another clump :-)
That looked like a better attempt :-)

Good morning what a fascinating morning watching these two. I agree Mike he seems like a young bird but he likes his moss.
At last!!!!!. Looked a success!!
Yes Mike, it certainly did, he has just been out of practise Ha Ha.....
I think it may be a good idea to start a separate thread for Loch Arkaig as I have just noticed that since yesterday there has been about three pages taken up with Louis and his love life, which really makes it difficult for anyone finding out about other nests.
Probably if Clarach lays eggs at Aberfoyle, the same would be relevant as I can imagine there will be lots of captures of egg laying, hatching etc.
So if it is OK with everyone I will open a thread for Loch Arkaig and copy over all the posts from yesterday.
If nothing develops at the Arkaig nest then it can just drop down the pages like lots of other threads.
