Glaslyn have managed to obtain a new caravan for their protection site. Let's hope this is the start of another good year for them.
Birdies LG DU update.
Thank you Mike, yes indeed. It is a great nest and team to follow. They reported this on their FB page y'day. Volunteers have built a raised plinth for their new caravan! Well done everyone.
The first stage of work to raise the ground for the protection caravan started early this morning. Using a digger Julian dug out a trench and filled it with hardcore This is in order to have a solid and level base. Gabion baskets were placed on top of the hardcore and joined together. Next concrete blocks were cut and positioned around the inner edge. All hands were on deck as, Darren, Mel, Julian and Gruff aimed to finish the days work before the arrival of forecast rain. More great team work and laughter.....cheers to all!

Thanks, Mike and Sheila. Come on, Mrs. Glaslyn--they are waiting for you!
Kind regards, Ann
The caravan is safely positioned on its new plinth
It looks great! Can't wait to visit again, on our next break in Wales.
The site looked really good last Autumn: we could see that there had been a lot of hard work done.
I went for the first time last September. I loved it.
It's even better now than it was, previously. We've been calling in there since 2012, whenever we go to N. Wales in summer (we live in Cheshire).
The volunteers there are very dedicated, and it's in such a beautiful valley.
