  • Good Morning Everyone. So lovely to have a dry morning and there are glimmers of the sun.

Annette, Sounds like a lot of hard work for you to do, now that the painters have finished. We have cancelled having our outside being painted yet. It still looks fine and if we are to have a building site so near to us, it could be better to wait. We have no idea when the building will start, though.
    Best wishes to your daughter.

AQ, I am enjoying following your last trip on Street View. It seems so sad to see some of the neglected areas, but it is easy to realise why the younger generation  wanted to move on. Australia is so vast.

My son and his wife leave for Brisbane on Monday, for a business trip. It will be a change from their previous four holidays they have spent in Aus, when they have driven up the West coasts and last time on the East coast.

I hope you all enjoy today. Thinking of Linda and her Son's wedding.

  • Good Morning -

Also hoping that the wedding goes off well, BRENDA.

We have another lovely day here. I'm in a bit of a rush, heard late yesterday that the youngest family are staying here tonight. Just back from shopping trip, now to clean bathrooms and remove my  non ironed stuff from the bedroom that they use. I always get caught out. You never know, I might just finish the ironing :-))

Son in law has been working away from home this week but finishes today. His parents are entertaining some family visitors from Australia and would like the company of daughter and son in law this evening, at a local restaurant. They didn't know until last night that his job would definitely be completed today and they would be able to come through to Inverness.

  • It has been a quiet day on here. I have been watching the tennis, Davis Cup, this afternoon, while I caught up with the ironing. A brilliant doubles match, which the Murray brothers won in the fifth set. We were gardening before the tennis started.

Heather, I hope you managed all your jobs before the family arrived.

Hope you have all had a good day.

Thinking of OG and EE X

  • There was a protest tonight at Lintridge Farm owned by Cobrey farms. Cobrey not only have toxic dumps on their farms that supply Marks & Spencer, they kill badgers.
At least 6 police vehicles were in attendance.

Protesters wore biohazard suits and took soil samples

  • If you wanted to see a cage trap in one of the cull zones you'd better hurry up.

The rate the pixies are going the workers in the trap factory must be working over time to keep up!!

  • Looks as if young Miss Condor fledged while I was out - was anyone looking in this evening to see her go?

Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!

  • All quiet here, Mia and Isla asleep. Yes, BRENDA, finished my chores! I'm two thirds of the way through a book but too tired to concentrate, keep losing the thread.

It looks as if my cousin's daughter was at some event today where the Dalai Lama was speaking. I saw it on Facebook. I'd like to know more, so will look it up.If I can stay awake!

Best wishes to the condor. I missed her fledging. Sorry, OG, I was watching the Farm Aid concert live stream. (Farm Aid is a benefit to save small family farms and to resist the corporate takeover of agriculture in the U.S.)
