  • Hello again - I've been busy eating Christmas pudding with vanilla ice cream, so I've only just seen a wonderful vision of a really yummy chocolate cake. We ate the Christmas pudding because on The Day we were just too full after our scrumptious dinner.
  • Nice to hear from NiteOwl - you are still in our thoughts even when you don't post. Poor old Jess, how they hate those lampshade s. Good that its healing up well. Rita - Did laugh about your story of the toy in the tree. We are in the middle of packing everything up, and each year I try to put a couple of things away for the charity shop so that the amount stashed under the stairs doesn't grow. Unfortunately, this year a well meaning friend gave me a present of a cute little wobbly carol singer figure, so its not going to be less this year!
  • Is it supposed to wobble, or was that a surprise 'bonus' feature?

Our herring gulls are red listed birds.  Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

LOL Clare - he's supposed to wobble, he has a spring hidden under his red jacket! At the slightest thing, off he goes!! We have several items which break into song when switched on or triggered by sounds - I nearly dropped the roast potatoes on Christmas Day because we have a robin on a perch, wearing a red Christmas hat, in the kitchen. I had banged the oven door hard and he started cheeping Jingle Bells, made me jump as I had forgotten all about him!
  • LOL!!  To put such a thing into your kitchen, Lindy, is tempting fate!

  • Whilst on the subject, I think the thing which made me laugh the most this year was when we pulled our crackers (remember my tale of the great meal we had one lunchtime? - we brought the crackers home with us). We both tried unsuccessfully to put on our paper hats, but they were child sized ones! Collapsed in giggles over my dinner!!!
  • Well, I've eaten the last peanuts out of the bowl & my OH has gone upstairs, so I guess I should say Goodnight. Hope that Diane managed to get that new heater and is keeping warm.
  • Good night, Lindy.
