MORNING ALL
This must be the latest that a Daily Update has been started!
All looks quiet on the LG Nest, GEM's are preening and lounging, EJ is looking wistfully out into the landscape, maybe she is thinking Odin is late this morning with his breakfast fish, or then maybe she is thinking, isn't this about the time that that funny man comes with those long ladders, and takes my two chicks away, when they come back they have a bendy wire on their backs, wonder what they are for.
EJ's Memorial Balgavies Loch Ospreys 2023
Judging by how soon we could hear the ladder and voices after the first alarm call, EJ doesn't start shouting until they are quite close. Sounds as if Odin is off fishing - I'm fairly sure I can only hear one adult.
THEY'RE THERE FOR THE TAGGING!
Sorry for the late announcement, should have refreshed! Having said that, my post might not have been very late when when I clicked ;-) Aren't we lucky?!
IMAGICAT
One Chick has been taken for ringing.

Second chick is now being taken.
Empty nest. I should just have time to finish the washing up before they return ;-)
ENS for the first time since egg three was layed.
We are going to have to get used to seeing that empty nest soon, what a disheartening thought!
First chick removed.
My post disappeared AGAIN! Was just saying how glad I am that they went for it this morning - the way Wotadin was wing flapping, I thought it may be getting too late. Here's my set of captures
First chick collected
Just reposition chick #2
Fit in to bag!
Zip it up safely before lowering to ground!
Suitably tartan pattern on thick shirt :-)
Tiger and Chloe's Osprey Info
My heart missed many beats when I tuned in to view the nest. Looks like my visit is one week too late to see the ringing.
