I was browsing through my photos which I took last year and I thought I would pick out six of what I thought were my best photos.I did not realise how hard that would turn out to be. I have finally got it down to seven - have you also got seven best photos that you can show? Here are mine.

Great photos Limpy of seven wonderful captures, the bittern is amazing, I usually only get a very distant shot of a head when I try to photoraph one as the body is usally well screened by the reeds lol I'll take a look through my pics shortly and see if I can choose 7 of my favourites.

They are indeed magnificent shots, Limpy. The Bittern with a fish is a terrific capture.
I'll have a look through my photos for 2015 to see what my best ones are. It's not going to be easy to decide I suspect.

I've had a quick look through my 2015 photos and although there may be better ones tucked away in my photo-files I have found 7 of my favourites:
Will have to start with a bird that brought all sorts of emotions from joy to seeing it and 3 days later finding out it had died suddenly (thought from starvation)
Short-eared Owl at Burton Mere Wetlands
next has to be our daily garden visitor: "Wilma" the Grey Wagtail
then another moment of emotions when I found a newly fledged Blackcap on a walk near Biggin Dale, Derbyshire
Next has to be the charming Meerkat which was at Chester Zoo
an amusing young Red Stag ! in our local Tatton Park
I have to include our National Bird so here's one of the Leighton Moss robins ...........
One of my favourite birds to see when walking by the River Dove in Derbyshire - Momma and Juvenile Dipper
I have so many favourite photos but found these also had the Awwwww factor !
Stunning photos Hazy
Great pics, both of you :-)
"Let loose the Kraken!"
Great photos from you both I remember that stunning Swallow one of yours Limpy absolute perfect timing, but i am also very envious of the Bittern with the fish.
Lovely ones from you Hazel, sad memories of the owl but a great photo for you to remember the moment. cannot choose a favourite but torn between the Grey Wagtail and the newly fledged Blackcap,
Regards Shane
My Photos in Flickr.
I knew this was going to be hard. I've taken so many photos and travelled a lot in 2015 that it's almost impossible to pick out seven. Here's my selection - a mixture from home and abroad.
Kingfisher from Great Amwell, Herts
Little Grebe extracting a Caddisfly larva on my local patch
Brimstone Butterfly feeding on Oxalis in my garden
Spoonbill having a scratch - Lake Kerkini
Slavonian Grebe picking up flies - Lake Myvatn, Iceland
Black-tailed Godwit calling - Iceland
Arguably, my best macro shot of a tiny Marmalade Hoverfly in my garden.
Quite a mixture I think you'll agree. I tried to get a representative sample of my year.
Great idea for a thread Limpy as its brilliant to see everyone's favourite pics. Terrific captures Tony, some amazing species there and all top shots.
Yes, it is a good idea for a thread, let's hope others contribute to remind us all of the great stuff people have photographed.
Your pics are stunning Hazy. Love the SEO and the Dipper family but they are all great shots.
Perhaps we should have a "Photo of the Week" thread where people could post their favourite photo taken that week. What does anyone think? Would it work?
Tony I like your idea of the best photo of the week or month -
it would be good to see other people's best photos.
Tony, you and Hazel definitely have the Magnificent Seven - wow wow wow, both of you, and thanks for showing them. I'm in awe of yours -
look what we would have missed if you hadn't posted them.
