Hi all, don't know about you but the one place I love to be near is the sea, the one place I can sit for hours just watching it, the one place I feel at piece with myself and contemplate life itself.
I am no Photographer but here are a few I have taken quiet recently. Feel free to put your sea pictures on here.
I thank you ;-)
You can almost smell it.

I know....my spelling's crap !!
Willow & Fish, and Clare, my friends from the Gabfest, June does indeed "Love the Sea"! And Willow I love your fabulous photo above.
There is one cultural difference, however. You all call it the sea, but to me it is the ocean. Here some go to "the beach". We always went to "the Ocean". But "the beach", "the sea" or "the ocean" makes no difference. Whatever we call it. it is still magnificent, majestic, beautiful, mysterious, romantic, dangerous, or maybe even calm and full of peace. How can one not love it!?!
June, what a nice post! It makes perfect sense that you should call it the ocean as that's what the US has on either side.
Willow, love the photo.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

On the West coast of South Uist.
That's beautiful, Paul.
I don't often look at other parts of the forum, only LG Ospreys Group, so just found this thread.
Willow your photo of the sea is spectacular, mother nature in force!
Paul A - your photo of South Uist is indeed a lovely one, the Outer Hebrides are a truly wonderful place to visit. All the way from Barra up the Uists and then on to Harris & Lewis is one of my favourite trips. What amazes me is the colour of the sea, we did visit during winter one year and yet the sea stayed that same beautiful colour.

Even when it was snowing the sea was this wonderful colour

Lovely photos Mary. It's always been in the summer when we visit the Western Isles so it is really nice to see them with snow around.

Thank You Paul, I am slowly working my way back through this thread and I have to say the photos posted by everyone are wonderful, it is so nice to see all the different photos from around the coast, everyone deserves a well earned pat on the back. I wish I had found this thread earlier.
Beautiful photos Mary! Stunning blue colours and white sand! Its a lovely thread and great to see different parts of the coastline.
