Hello,
I've just discovered a robin nest tucked behind my shed. Absolutely wonderful, except my plan was to demolish the shed!! I dont want to disturb the nest, so willing to wait, but wanted to make sure I won't cause them problems. From my understanding, once the chicks fledge, the nest won't be used again (at night or for a future clutch). Is that correct?
TIA
Depending on food availability and weather conditions Robins can double and sometimes treble brood so you may need to wait until late summer.

Oh blimey! Thanks, good to know. I'm feeding them lots of treats, even bought them some like mealworms yesterday! So sounds like I've probably made them very comfortable
I agree with Germain. You may well be able to find 'sources' online that state robins only use a nest site once. Not true. Apart from anything else, there would be a lot of robin designed nestboxes having to be thrown away each year. They aren't 'single use'.
You make an excellent point! I had questioned that for a moment, but put it down to excellent marketing!
