This below is why Grey Squirrels have to be controlled in a humane way and I agree 100% about this. I never encourage Grey Squirrels in to my garden. Link Below! The county wildlife trusts in Northumberland and Cumbria where there are still a good population of Red Squirrels also control the number of Grey Squirrel”s. Also in Scotland where wildlife conservation organisation humanely cull numbers of Grey Squirrels where there are large numbers of Red Squirrels and the Grey Squirrel's are also culled in a humane way and controlled in other area”s of the UK where there are no Red Squitrels and tte Grey Squirrel's exist in large numbers and it has to done! Also if anyone capture’s a live Grey Squirrel in the UK it is illegal to release that Grey Squirrel back in to the Wild in the UK and that is included in the 1981 Wildlife and Countryside Act!
