I’ve just been watching on the BBC iPlayer the last episode of the 2025 Wintewatch series mentioned that the 2025 BBC Springwarch series would be at a new destination in May of this year. The presenters said keep an eye on the media to where that new destination will be over the next few months.
Regards,
Ian.

I understand from a reliable source that the next series of Springwatch is to be around the Longshaw Estate, in the Peak District. As yet, no official notification has been released.

I can't wait
Apart from the main BBC Springwatch series 4 nights a week on Monday to Thursday 8.00pm-9.00pm for 3 weeks, There are the usual live wildlife webcams normally from 7.00am-10pm, 7 days a week including weekends. If it’s the same as in recent years. The live webcams will be available on the BBC iPlayer in the sub-section science and nature as well as on the BBC Springwatch website. A few details about the live BBC TV live webcams. Which normally are available 7 days a week including weekends. The live wildlife webcams used to be available for 24 hours for the three weeks. But with all the cuts on BBC TV and BBC Radio in recent years, the live wildlife webcams are now only available from around 7.00am-10.00pm Link below.
Watched last nights show and the small section re cuckoos. In the last 7 days I've heard cuckoos in The New Forest, Henlow in Bedfordshire and Shelford, Cambridgeshire. If they are mating now then possibly they are possibly targeting second clutches. Food supply will be more reliable than in a cold spring.

Cuckoos don’t have clutches. They lay single eggs in other species’ nests.
My trip up to Langholm Moor was an excellent day as all of RSPB Group saw a Cuckoo last month. We nearly always see Hen Harriers and Merlin’s. But not this time. The trip by coach to Bempton Cliff on Saturday was a brilliant days birdwatching apart from the weather. Great to see all the seabirds plus the Gannet nesting colony. There are Corn Bunting's on the meadows. But I didnt see any on the visit on Saturday.
