Good idea to post Christmas cards early......last year, strikes were blamed by Royal Mail. The year before, Covid was blamed......this year, I await their excuse. I know a few actual reasons for the last couple of years. One of the biggest ones is parcels are prioritised over letters/cards/magazines. Another is many posties were given voluntary redundancy in the Spring......fewer staff = bigger rounds.....which cannot be done in the hours.

They may not be so inundated this year with prices so high ... £1.25 for first class ... robbery and no doubt out of reach for many folk!!!

Agreed, but cards have been dropping off for quite a few years now. The few that do get sent are still spending long periods in offices unsorted, unprepped and/or undelivered for the two reasons above. One other thing I would say is posting cards in the last week before Xmas is a waste of a card and stamp. Posties will be spending the time delivering parcels not late cards.

Some people haven't even thought of chrimbo yet. There's a pending house move before I even start thinking about get around to that.

Take pity - I've got to do shopping for house-related stuff during the annual retail bun-fight.
