Adult RSPB Membership Cards from September 2023 will have to be scanned where an admission charge or at a RSPB Pay and Display Car Park!

Yes, I'm a member. Not attended an AGM or contributed. I'll vote to get rid of any individual who doesn't represent interests RSPB were set up for......other than that, I tend to prefer to leave things to employees. They don't always get things right, esp i.d's, but unless I'm doing the interviews, I can't influence who gets recruited to represent RSPB. That then makes it hard to have an effective voice at AGMs.

I received a reply about the scanning of membership cards from the RSPB, particularly for any life members like myself  and if or when life RSPB members would receive new membership cards for scanning and below is the reply I received by email from the RSPB below!

Realistically, it'll only be the biggest reserves requiring scans, and the trial will take a long time I suspect, with the conclusion of keeping the cards and scanning hardware where they've been trialed, but not rolling them out to majority of other reserves.

You misunderstood. You posted a screenshot. That contained a link provided by RSPB. That link does not work. It is another link that RSPB provide that does not work.

P.s. I am impressed you have post delivered on a Saturday.

Some Post Offices locally now open on a Sunday as well. I’m sure you know that. Not all post offices. But there are two big post offices in my area that open on a Sunday until early afternoon. I’m sure you know that!

Yes. I also know that Royal Mail delivers letters and magazines and is a different company to Post Office. They separated a long time ago, and Royal Mail has been a plc for quite a few years.
