I read it and I think it is good that the estate owners are being hit with losing a lot of their millions as it was termed in the read up. It is a way of letting it be known to estate owners that it is unacceptable to kill wild birds and a price has to be paid for doing it - the price is that their money can be taken from them no matter what, and it hits their bank account in a big way

I am sad to see a couple of estates that have dubicious gamekeepers in the Norfolk are. I have loved visiting Holken Estate in Norfolk over the years for the joy of bird watching in the winter months

Still the gamekeepers seem to walk about being let of with small criminal offences despite of many years for the criminal courts to take it seriously. They do not. It is about time it changed for the better for wildlife

I was sickened to read that despite of the criminal activities of the gamekeepers, they still remain employed and not removed from their jobs as they should be.

IMHO, there should be a register of gamekeepers kept to show their crimes so they are not employed by any landowners ever again. That would be a good to do to know who are the responsible gamekeepers over the criminally minded ones.

I hope things are going to change in my own lifetime and that would be a good thing.
