12th March 2023 More crocus are open now. Before not much of them were open. And then during the sleet they closed but
as soon as the weather changed they opened again
and more of them are open now that wernt open yet aswell
Pollen everywhere in the wide open crocus
Banks and road sides are looking bright and cheerful at the moment. It's always interesting looking at the different cultivars that are naturalising - remnants of our growing industry - each year I see less and less fields grown for the flower trade - I think it can sometimes depend on where Mothers Day and Easter come.

Lovely colour in the bulb circle despite the grey drab weather
Foxes have trampled on most of the crocuses now :-(
