After what could probably be deemed as a challenging year, not just from a Covid perspective, but the inclement weather and lack of sun that many of us have experienced, 2021 did deliver a good selection of sunrise and sunset photos, with a big thank you to all that contributed, no matter how big or small that contribution was.

I was lucky to get a sunset to end my selection for 2021 on New Years Eve, and I managed to grab a sunrise this morning to kick start this years thread.

Even though there was drizzle and sleet and a proper storm cloud the clouds have cleared enough I can see the sun this evening so I have sent some photos of the Sunset
One from the archives. Sunset over Bamburgh Castle, taken from The Bamburgh Castle Inn at Seahouses.
The sun used to set at 4:30 which made it easyer to go to places to take picture but cause it sets between 6 and 7 now. and it’s too late to go out somewhere and take a picture I can only take it from where I usually take it for now. Because the sun sets where there’s lots of obstruction at the moment. I used my surroundings creatively to get the best out of the sunset and sunset sky. I managed to get some good pictures cause the sun sets behind the tree
you can see the orange comeing through the holes and some orange on the end of the leaf
In this photo you can see the light reflecting through the leafs with bright reds and greens and the shadows on the leafs from the sunset
Here I took the picture so that it’s dark cause you can see the bright orange light very well
Here you the sun is createing circles through the gaps in the leafs I had to zoom in to the close leafs to get the circle patterns from the sunset
In this photo you can see the orange on the leaf from the sunset
