This was an RSPB film from the 1970’s that was profuced by the then RSPB Film Unit which produced RSPB Films every year for the RSPB Annual Film Shows that where shown all over the UK and then this film was produces and made by the RSPB in the Outer Hebrides and was called The Corncrake and the Croft.
I remember seeing this film at a local group evening
An interesting film.
What I found interesting was the potato harvesting, the potatoes seemed to be all at ground level rather than in mounds which has been commonplace for many decades and longer.
Many thanks for sharing.

That could be the case, a lack of top soil.
