Just because there's way too much great photography on this site...!
You know the feeling. You only got one or a few photos of it and they're not very good, but you can't bear to throw the photos away because they're all you have of that particular species. So you keep them, just until you get better ones :) We've managed to 'upgrade' some of the species below since these bad pics were taken, but not all...
Please join in! I can't be the only one who hordes terrible wildlife photos :)
Collared Flycatcher
Otter
Peregrine
and best (worst) of all, Nightjar!

Thanks Galatas, I wasn't sure as there were Siskins on the Haydn's pool side of Carden's Ferry Bridge. Cheers for that ID :) Flocks of birds were flying everywhere, one side to the other so hard to keep track of the Goldies and the Siskins.
ps. what kind of flying fish is it in the top right of the last pic ?? - and don't say it is a "Goldie Fish" ROFL !!!!

Siskins show a yellow wingbar in flight too, narrower than Goldfinch's but still prominent (esp on males). And on at least one of Hazy's birds you can see yellow tail-sides (which also says Siskin).
Thanks so much Bob and Aiki, it's often hard to ID birds, especially in flight and as I never see Goldies or Siskins in the garden I am not very familiar with them; they look so funny when they fly with wings tucked right alongside the body lol
Amazing wingspan on the BT Alan and a brill pic of the dowelling and fat cake LOL
Wot's this????
