Just because there's way too much great photography on this site...!
You know the feeling. You only got one or a few photos of it and they're not very good, but you can't bear to throw the photos away because they're all you have of that particular species. So you keep them, just until you get better ones :) We've managed to 'upgrade' some of the species below since these bad pics were taken, but not all...
Please join in! I can't be the only one who hordes terrible wildlife photos :)
Collared Flycatcher
Otter
Peregrine
and best (worst) of all, Nightjar!

Evening Wendy, That's not a bad pic as I can recognise it's a Starling !! They have amazing colours - so beautiful although relieved they haven't found our garden yet as I don't think I could cope with many more mouths to feed ! Pastry preparation is already on over-drive although, I haven't managed to find my way to the kitchen tonight to make pastry for tomorrow and I know they'll just sulk if they don't get their luxury breakfast !! I can't disappoint the LTT's they just chirrup when they see the pastry coming out ROFL. Weather tomorrow looks even worse so I may be viewing the birds from the window !

Best way to do it on a soggy day H!!!
More poor pics from today !
Kestrel take-off but it's a bid headless and wrong settings :(
and buzzard also on wrong setting :(
You're getting picky H (too many successes!!) I would have been quite chuffed to have taken them!
Heck if I had a photo of a buzzard like that, I'd be delighted ;-)
A bird in the hand can make an awful mess!
Thanks ladies, it was photoshop-ed to death to get something near worth viewing LOL I think my frustration of not totally understanding balance of camera settings makes me dogged about aiming for more perfection in my photos but thanks for the ego boost :)
so close to being really good, but very dark and could not speed up shutter!

More bad pics from today .....it was so dark this afternoon, real gloomy light and the only thing around were birds at a distance :(
First the Buzzard shots ....
and I think a large flock of Siskins, but let you advise me on this one ? you'll have to zoom in
Now two birds (don't know what they are ? ) and a flying fish in the top right hand corner LOL

Not Siskins , as far as I can see they're all Goldfinches. The yellow wing bars are quite visible on a lot of them.
