Just because there's way too much great photography on this site...!
You know the feeling. You only got one or a few photos of it and they're not very good, but you can't bear to throw the photos away because they're all you have of that particular species. So you keep them, just until you get better ones :) We've managed to 'upgrade' some of the species below since these bad pics were taken, but not all...
Please join in! I can't be the only one who hordes terrible wildlife photos :)
Collared Flycatcher
Otter
Peregrine
and best (worst) of all, Nightjar!

Goshawk
A bird in the hand can make an awful mess!
Sorry Northernlass our replies crossed, you are right, a Peregrine Falcon. I was gutted I couldn't get closer.
Fantastic Maria, well done for spotting that lovely B.O.P.

You get to admire my brilliant photo :-))))
Erm .... thanks :-(
Gloomy day trying to get photos without going off the ISO scale ! Well I did get the swan ......almost....... as it suddenly stretched up to fluff up it's feathers and out of camera frame LOL I had an abysmal day with the camera and to make matters worse, when I did get the chance to get two birds that looked a bit different, two walkers came by with their dog and shouted "Alright" as I was framing the shot ready to press the button ...........the birds spooked and flew off before I could click the shutter so I never got the chance to ID them .........they may have been redwing or another thrush but who knows !! That was about the total summing up of my day LOL Anyway, I will leave you with an example of what my day was like !!!!
I hate to say this Hazel, but that looks like it would have been a good one!
To change the subject, I made up a batch of your pastry today, put it in one of the feeders but too miserable here for anyone to try it. The rest is in the fridge though.
Evening Maria, I had an abysmal day with the camera and settings, couldn't take anything really to save my life and when I did stand a chance of seeing two rather different looking birds, maybe redwing or another thrush, two people walked by shouting "Alright" and they spooked the birds before I could click the shutter button LOL , it was definitely one of those days and the Swan just topped it off !!
Good luck with the pastry, I have to make some more as I used the last this morning after giving my Aunty half the last batch !
