Just because there's way too much great photography on this site...!
You know the feeling. You only got one or a few photos of it and they're not very good, but you can't bear to throw the photos away because they're all you have of that particular species. So you keep them, just until you get better ones :) We've managed to 'upgrade' some of the species below since these bad pics were taken, but not all...
Please join in! I can't be the only one who hordes terrible wildlife photos :)
Collared Flycatcher
Otter
Peregrine
and best (worst) of all, Nightjar!

Heron and Cormorant ......... I think !!
Black Swan in a spin with it's petticoats lol
I have looked at alot of photos on this thread and my line of thinking is that alot of them are actually quite good. I probably need to put my entire collection on here lol.
I must buy a better lens at some point, so will add this one on for now as I have not witnessed one of these in my garden before. According to my book it is a thrush, but as to a 'song' or a 'mistle' I have no idea? I am guessing the 'song'.

Sorry doggie - how embarassing! I must check my picture selection first next time!!!
Thanks for the ID - thats another one to cross off my list (and what a small list it is at the moment too lol)!
LOL Bob, been there, done that and got the T-shirt ! Exactly how you did it and dial turned to manual; think it happens when I am turning the camera on and off so these days I leave it on as it shuts down after a few minutes itself. The times I have cursed when that happens and it is always when you have a great opportunity !!! Glad you were able to edit in Photoshop, the Goldcrest is lovely :)
These terrible pics are to prove that Mr. Chaffinch also likes to shower under the waterfall LOL
now skilfully skimming across the top in his aerial display !
and Mr. Jackdaw with a beak full of pink suet
Fight between the Blackbirds !
My one & only pic of today - saw Robin & Blue Tit on suet log feeder together, so I snuck cam ever so carefully from side of kitchen window so as not to startle them & I got this..............
