Just because there's way too much great photography on this site...!
You know the feeling. You only got one or a few photos of it and they're not very good, but you can't bear to throw the photos away because they're all you have of that particular species. So you keep them, just until you get better ones :) We've managed to 'upgrade' some of the species below since these bad pics were taken, but not all...
Please join in! I can't be the only one who hordes terrible wildlife photos :)

A very old Shropshire Lad.
Only just seen this thread and it is so funny - and one I feel I can really join in with! There are some great photos on here and now none of our photos need ever be wasted! Well there's no need to worry about posting any of my pics in future! Here's my effort: All those beautiful waxwings in my apple tree - how could I have made them look so drab! Actually, I didn't even know what they were at the time (they are what got me addicted to birdwatching!) so I was rapidly leafing through an old bird book to see what had landed! Who knows when I'll get chance to have another shot at them! Ah well, you can't win them all!

Slowly making my way through the pages and using them as a reward - 1 hours work = 1 page of giggles
May I present for your amusement the spectral robin - it takes a special skill to get a photo this poor of a poser
Possibly a Chaffinch but I would not like to swear to it (the moral of these is clean the windows)
Spot the Woodpecker
And finally the very best ever
Dolphin. Exit stage left...with a wave of water!

This is such fun! I have had to stop looking at the moment ,the fox at night was just so funny that I am crying with laughter.
Brilliant to resurrect this thread! Thanks Aiki!
Here's one I'm so annoyed at myself for not getting sharp! It's a Common Malachite beetle.

It has now taken far too long going through these great photos - as others have said, good to see the bad shots as well as the brilliantly executed. It has, however, reinforced my feeling of guilt about keeping so many bad shots... here a couple out of many on my hard drive - one is a long-tailed tit but no idea what the other might be!
A classic thread - my thanks to all contributors. :-)
