These have been taken around the garden over the past few weeks with either a macro lens or zoom lens.
Alstromeria, now gone over
Salvia which the bees love and again just about gone over.
Foxglove with visitors.
Geranium with honey bee?
Eryingium Gigantia (I think) sometimes called Sea Holly.
Penstemon
Foxglove
Alium, med bells after flowering finished.
Day Lilly
Unfortunately this crop has now finished, need to get some later fruiting varieties.
And these early fruiting raspberries are now finished and waiting for the late varieties to start.
Verbena Bonerensis.
Diascia
The garden is looking a lot different now after the rain battering this week and many flowers gone to seed, rather like me in lockdown, really need a hair cut.
Very colourful! I'm by no means a gardener but flowers still make good photo material for the colours and shapes.
Tony T said:not getting too close to bees to get stung
Unless you're allergic, don't worry about it. Bees are far more interested in what they're doing than in what any photographer might be doing, providing you're moving calmly and not flailing limbs about. I've never had any insect get angry at me while photographing it, bees, wasps or anything else, regardless of how close I've gotten.
Lovely photos Tony, nice and clear
