I don't know about the rest of you, but I've been thinking back to this day, 50 years ago.
I was on holiday at Oxwich Bay in S.Wales in a big caravan with my older sister, husband & their 5 children, who were around my age or younger. A few vans away was my cousin & their 4 children. We all used to have wonderful days playing together & goodness knows how the adults coped, although the older children generally looked after the younger ones. My cousin had a TV in their van (there wern't many) & we all crammed in there to look at the images. Happy days!
I was sat in front of our first TV set, during the very early hours on a school day (I was only nine back then), watching in awe!
It was a wonder of modern times, and not without some cost, but something I will remember.
Today, youngsters can't appreciate what took place back then, so to them, amid their video games, its a case of "so-what"
