First pic of New Garden Robin (top right) and Mrs HTR. I saw her today for the first time. She didn't waste any time flying down for some mealies. NGR wasn't sure how to react to her and continued singing from various trees and fences. He eventually flew across to see who she was and took a higher branch in order to posture. Mrs HTR was not impressed.

Both Robins in garden just now & the skinny one is the male who was feeding a much more rotund brightly coloured female! Lol Put WW dish in the open & he was all around it but never saw them!!! Frustrating
This morning I took the rescued baby Robin to WRAS in East Sussex. When I arrived home, I opened the kitchen door and saw this...
Chances are this is one of the HTR's earlier broods, probably the second judging by the plumage. I was allowed to walk right up to within a few feet (or as near as the 400mm lens would allow) and I snapped away while Junior took a bath and dried off. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this Robin will stick around, at least until HTR has completed his moult.
Lovely to see

I bet you weren't wearing a red shirt I've noticed even the youngsters can be quite aggressive towards other Robins, including adults.
