Just before we went away on holiday we had a treat of a young Hoopoe coming & sitting on our hangar roof, mum (or dad) flew around a few times & came back with a little tit-bit, but the youngster stayed put for a couple of hours. It was quite wet too from the water laying in the roof channel,
here comes food
Not enough looking at it's expression now
Best wishes

We put up bird boxes and were rewarded with a couple of blue tit families. We were away when they first fledged, but we've had a steady supply of youngsters.
We are pretty sure this one was feeding independently but if mum is prepared to keep it up...
We call this one Peaky Junior as he shares dad's Peaky Blinder cap.
Young scruff - not the sleek, well defined coats of the GTs we are used to.
Think this scruffy oik is a coal tit - we rarely get the parents sitting still long enough but regular, if fleeting, visitors.
And Mrs S took this earlier... our Goldfinches have a sprog who didn't fancy perching on the feeder so just admired parents' ability from the gutter (and later the wall).
