I was browsing through my photos which I took last year and I thought I would pick out six of what I thought were my best photos.I did not realise how hard that would turn out to be. I have finally got it down to seven - have you also got seven best photos that you can show? Here are mine.

Great stuff Paul, those duelling Redshanks are superb. The "green screen" Rook and the colour you've captured on the adult Starling make really good photos :)
"Let loose the Kraken!"
Amazing photos from everyone. I really love them all and a great diverse selection. A wonderful idea Limpy.
Kind regards
Jenny

Nothing wrong with photos of moths or kestrels - bring them on! No more than seven.
OK......culled from my final 23! Here we go:
Snapped at Minsmere, full of attitude (as you might expect)
She gatecrashed my final seven as Limpy burst out laughing at her expression! Also taken at Minsmere
On the scrounge at the harbour front caff, Felixstowe Ferry
'Oy! Don't you watch me hiding this.....they'll all want some!' Another Minsmere snap
The world's largest gull drops his tough expression for a moment to look curiously at my camera, Felixstowe Ferry
'Mummy says it's never too early to try my beady eyed look on you humans.' Grey lag gosling, Minsmere
Finding his wings, Felixstowe Ferry.
Phew! Glad that's done.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
What a great thread Limpy, thanks for starting it. i also think that a weekly photo posting would be a great idea and we could pick our favourite.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Loving this thread and I have eventually short listed 7 from many taken last year.
My first ever Short Eared Owls taken at Rainham Marshes.
Hobby catching a dragonfly at RSPB Dungeness.
Tern also taken at RSPB Dungeness.
Kestrel taken at Widewater Lagoon, Lancing Sussex.
Grey Heron in Bushy Park London.
Brambling in my back garden we had three and were a great garden tick.
Could not finish in Limpys thread without an Osprey this one was the "Southease Sussex Bird" which I managed to track down after a long walk to find it just as it flew off with its Grey Mullet lunch.
