I've been transferring all my photos from PC to MAC and reliving some memories. I found this one as a classic for this thread. I'm not even sure what it is as not labelled, but I think it was/might have been an African Fish Eagle.

A couple of pics from twenty minutes ago .... don't ask me if its a male of a female - I dunno !!
post edit: pretty sure it is a female as a big bird and she returned to the garden so got better photos of her.

The immature glaucous gull at Minsmere yesterday would absolutely not flaunt its pale beauty:
