I thought I'd start a new thread for this as I noticed Patily had been wondering about swapping phone numbers etc in time for our trip.
Just wanted to say that I don't mind organising this - my e-mail address is christinecleadon@hotmail.com and if people would like to e-mail me with their phone numbers, I am quite happy to get a list together of everyone who's going and their contact numbers and send it out to everyone once it's done.
I know you shouldn't really post e-mail addresses on here, but I never open anything suspicious looking!!!
Should be a good trip.

Thanks, Aiki. I remember you well. In a positive sense of the word!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Thanks for coordinating this Christine. I have emailed you my mobile number - just got to remember to bring it with me and switch it on cos I don't use it much.
I shall aim to be at the bridge meet up point at about 11:30. I've met aiki, Shane and Graham before so ID should not be a problem.
Is everyone intending to bring sandwiches etc for lunch? If the weather stays like this it should be fine to eat outside.

I'll also be taking a pack-up - apart from anything else I imagine food in London will cost a fortune.
Picked up my ticket today, due into Victoria 10.44 so will be in Regents Park for the meet up at 11.30.
My train gets into Kings Cross at 10.42 so am hoping to get to Regents Park by 11.30 am also.
Thanks to everyone who has sent mobile phone numbers so far!
I should be at Liverpool Street by around 10.30 so I'll be at Regent's Park in very good time.
Blimey, talk about rip off Britain. I went on to the National Rail site to order my tickets. I thought I might as well book a return ticket from home (Twyford) right through to Baker Street. They quoted me £30.60 which I thought was a bit steep so I checked the price for Paddington. They quoted me £14.10 return. So the three stops on the Tube was costing me more than the 30 mile trip to Paddington. No prizes for guessing which one I chose.
Still got to pay to get to Baker Street of course. I did think of getting an Oyster card but I noticed that from tomorrow (Wed 16th) you can make contactless payment using a debit/credit card.

It's years since I've travelled on the Tube so i'm unfamiliar with all this hi-tech stuff..Anyone know anything about it.
TJ .... google this 'paddington to regents park bus' !!
