Hazel, You're doing great--hang in there. Like the others, would love to see your Robins.
Kind regards, Ann
morning Wendy and Ann, thanks both :) it would be so easy to leave the camera on "A" all the time (don't think it didn't cross my mind yesterday - first day lol ! ) but I need to get to grips with the various settings as it would be a waste to buy such a camera and not do it justice ! I've got the Dummies book and the standard manual that came with the camera, plus a few tutorials online which I'll surf at some stage, plus ++++++ where's the headache tablets ? Well, it gives me an excuse for turning a blind eye to the household chores at the moment and I've handed the pinny to Mike for time being rofl.

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

LOL!!!! He doesn't look impressed!
Nice legs.
lol Clare - made him stand there for the family album photo and although he didn't mind the Fairy Liquid prop he tried to refuse the pinny - poor chap lol
Sorry Hazy, I missed your response to my gentle goading.
Your first photos look pretty good to me. They are nice and sharp and very detailed. When I opened up the yellow flower pic (I feel I should know what it is) there are little whorls visible on the petals. I've no idea what they are but the definition is amazing.
Keep up the good work. It's always a challenge when you get something new but I'm sure you will master it and I look forward to lots of cracking photos.
